wildfire

Fire. Good servant, bad master.

Case in point: Australia. People left homeless, lives destroyed.

How best to put it out? Heat, fuel, oxygen - the combustion triangle. Remove one component and the triangle collapses. And then there's fighting fire with fire: starving the actual fire of fuel by burning it before the actual fire reaches it. Control it well and it's mission accomplished. Screw it up and you'll end up with a bigger fire.

So what is one to do?

I wonder.
